A couple of weeks later....
You are back in the meadow again, high in the Crystal Mountains. You want to find out what happened with the dragon egg, and for that you need to find that polar bear. You begin wandering around, searching, when a small winged creature darts in front of you. You jump in surprise, then look closer. A..flutterwing..?
The creature hovers in front of you, and speaks softly. "Welcome traveller, it is wonderful to have you here. I am Spark."
You smile and greet Spark. The gentle creature is fascinating, he doesn't seem to want to talk too much, though he obviously doesn't mind your company. After a while he says he is going off for a fly, but if you need anything, then just think really hard, and he'll come. You wave as he flutters off.
You begin to explore again, and think about what Spark said...maybe that would work with Laboradorite too? You close your eyes and think real hard, willing Laboradorite to appear.
After a while you begin to feel foolish, and open your eyes, then jump. Laboradorite is standing right in front of you, grinning a toothy bear grin.
"Welcome again!" Says Laboradorite. "Are you here to hear the rest of the story?"
You grin back expectantly and sit down on a soft chair shaped crystal formation. Laboradorite sits himself down on the ground and leans on his front paws. Spark appears, fluttering in the warm breeze and lands in your lap, wanting to listen too. Laboradorite begins.
"Well, after all that travelling and work, Midnyte Shadow recieved a message. This message she knew was special before she even read it. It just felt magical. Barely able to sit still she read it and found that she was to be a proud new parent of a Glenn dragon!!!! This made her want to bounce around like a little kid..."
"Anyway, she came back here and told me the news, and began making final preparations for recieving the egg...This place has never been so busy, though it was still only the three of us. Spark spent lots of time hiding then, it was almost too busy for him! After waiting, with ants in our pants..."
He gets up, and beckoning you to follow, pads over to a sunny hollow in the crystal field. You and Spark follow. Looking down, you see a large pale coloured egg, resting gently in a patch of sunlight. Speckles of different colors seem to cover it, and you can't decide whether thats the real color or just reflections off the surrounding crystals.
You can't help yourself, and you kneel down and touch it. The egg is warm beneath the palm of your hand, and very smooth. Closing your eyes, you almost believe you can see the life growing in the egg, and excitement grows in you..
Opening your eyes and looking up, you see Laboradorite looking at you knowingly. Spark rests on the egg for a moment, then is gone, off on some unknown task.
"You have to come back some other time" Laboradorite says invitingly, "To see what happens, and what our dragon will be like."
You nod, knowing you will have trouble staying away! "Do you know anything about what it's going to be?" You ask.
Laboradorite thinks for a moment. "No, only that it is going to be female, and that her name is to be Shandra."
"Shandra". You say the name again softly, just to hear what it sounds like, then smile, pleased at the result. You sit down near the egg, content for a while just to watch it, and Laboradorite joins you.
